“Best”is the superlative of “good”.
“Freshest”is the superlative of “fresh”.

形容词/副词最高级变化规则
great —greatest
tall —tallest
通常情况下，直接在词尾加 -est
nice —nicest
large —largest
如果单词以不发音的字母e结尾，则只需在词尾加 -st
heavy —heaviest
easy —easiest
以辅音字母加y结尾的双音节词，变y为i，加 -est
big —biggest
hot —hottest
如果单词以重读闭音节结尾，且词尾只有一个辅音字母，则双写这个辅音字母再加 -est
