eg：I don't know the amount of the money.我不知道钱的总额。
【拓展】a number of意为“许多；大量的”，后接可数名词复数；the number of意为“······的数量”，后接可数名词。
【注意】用形容词修饰amount或number时，表示“大量的”，应用large；反之表示“少量的”应用small。
