2. Beijing is the capital of China.
the capital of 意为“......的首都/省会”
Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province.
London is the capital of England.
3. Wang Hui is my friend, but he is not in my class.
but连接的并列句，前后两个分句是转折关系。意为“但是；可是”。
Tony is from America, but he can speak Chinese.
She wants to go to the zoo, but her father doesn’t want to go there.
4. Shanghai is a very big city.
very作副词，修饰形容词或副词，表示程度。意为“很, 非常”。
【注意】very不能用来修饰动词。
The tree is very tall.
I like China very much.
5. Tony is my first name and Smith is my last name.
first name=given name 名字
last name=family name 姓
6. It’s nice to meet you all.
“It is + 形容词 + to do sth.”“ 做某事是......的。”其中it 为形式主语，动词不定式为真正的主语。
