语法讲解

一般过去时表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态。在叙述过去发生的事情,表达过去的状态、过去的特征、过去的行为等时要用一般过去时,常和表示过去的时间状语连用, 如yesterday, last year,just now, three years ago, in 1998等,谓语动词要用过去式。

be动词的过去式

(1)主语是第一、三人称单数、不可数名词、可数名词单数时,be动词为was。比如:I was...;   

He/She was...; Tom was...;The air was...。 

eg:He was born in America. 他出生于美国。

(2)主语是第二人称或第一、三人称复数或可数名词复数时,be 动词用were。 比如You/We/They 

were...; Birds were...。

eg:The boys were in the classroom a moment ago.

知识讲解

hero / ' hɪərəʊ/  n.英雄

eg:The soldier acted like a real hero.

那个士兵的举动像一个真正的英雄。

hero为可数名词,其复数形式为heroes,类似的

单词还有:tomato—tomatoes, potato—potatoes。
