剧情简介

遥远的松饼山上，是胡古镇。小镇最喜爱的圣诞节即将来临。小镇张灯结彩，五彩缤纷，大家都沉浸在为圣诞节做准备的喜悦之中。然而，在胡古镇北边的一座垃圾山上，住着一个让所有人都害怕的“怪物”——格林奇（金·凯瑞饰）。他隐居起来，只和一条狗生活在一起；心胸狭隘，心脏只有正常人的四分之一大小；他讨厌胡古镇，更讨厌圣诞节。他经常戏弄镇上的人，在胡古镇闹事时结识了小女孩辛迪（泰勒·莫森饰）。今年的圣诞节恰好是胡古镇建镇1000周年，家家户户都在为这场圣诞大餐做准备。辛迪邀请格林奇参加镇上的聚会，但一次失误让格林奇愤然离去。他决定报复镇上的人。圣诞节那天，他带着自己的爱犬麦克斯，伪装成圣诞老人和驯鹿，悄悄潜入胡古镇……
